hey Rob Hunter, really i don't know who you are, never read any of the other posts, but want you to pip down a little. I saw Transformers and it was a lovely movie, really enjoyed, my yet born daughter seem to enjoy it (maybe just the music!), my wife, 2 other friends had a great time with the movie. I understand there are some miss matches in the movie, but arn't there so many of them in different moives too?

Try to look at the bright side, there are parts where Fox was just sooo Foxy, and Optimus Prime's fighting scene was just too good.
Also, They tried to tie in sort of Indiana Jones style into the movie, it's not a total remake of Transformers but rather a new line of transfomers, (although i also do wish they would follow G1 series!).

and to just answer some of your questions,

"Not a single line of dialogue rings true or authentic. It’s overlong and while multiple climaxes are great during sex (look it up) it doesn’t work in the movie’s favor. The plot isn’t difficult to follow but makes zero sense anyway. Human bodies seem to be even more resilient and injury-proof than the mechanical foes that are tossing them around. At no point is anyone in even the slightest bit of believable and/or dramatic danger because only unnamed characters and people die. And can anyone explain the logic behind using Sam’s parents as bait (but not really)? And why wouldn’t the Allspark bring back Optimus Prime like it does every other seemingly dead and/or inanimate piece of machinery? And why did the US military dump Megatron at the bottom of the ocean instead of just dismantling the son of a bitch? Dead robots (?) have an afterlife from where they can resurrect humans to follow their destiny? And who in the hell would stand up Megan Fox for a webcam date?"

What do you need it to be authentic? it's a robot movie, it's sci fi?
I also think maybe humans are too strong in the movie, but still they would rather have a big monster to die rather then humans splattering blood everywhere. Also, from what i remember Bay wanted to show how humans can be equally strong as robots, rahter where most of the transformer cartoons humans are just useless. The bait part, I guess they wanted to pull Sam into there hands, but could've done it better. Yes I do agree with this part. But again, I guess they wanted to use them as bait but getting there hands full with the autobots and humans. Allspark is sortof the Vector sigma of the original story, it will bring it robots to life but can't re give a life back. I guess soudwave did something the all spark piece to bring megetron back but for optimus there was no way to do it. In Season 3 of G1 transformers the quinteson (not sure of the spelling) couldn't get Optimus back to life so he had to use some kind of machine to help him out. Also, Optimus has the rank called 'prime' the leader of the autobots, which means that he is a different line of product, the matrix actually posses most of his power and wisdom of the former primes. I guess this also answers how robots get there life back. You should really watch Japanese robot anime's then you'll more understand the robots nature of life. After all Transformers was opriginally from japan.
Megatron was totally for other series, it's always like that in robot shows, you never watched them when you were young? or are you still young? :) Megan Fox... well yes she is the sexiest animal I've ever seen but mabye not for Sam, when you do get busy, you tend to forget things, I believe anyone would know this if he/she did go on a date for long time :)

So Rob, Transformers is a great movie maybe will need some tweeks here and there, but it was same with other great movies such as harry potter, matrix, LotR. Don't know, but i think i enjoyed it and had fun and got worth what I've paid for!
