This summer, after my lovely wedding, me and my wife watched the movie "kungfu panda" Jack Black, Dustin Hoffman, Jackie Chan, Lucy Liu and Angelina Jolie starred as the voices of the characters. As you can see it's really a "star" member casting for the movie. I think that this movie has something more than just fun, but also it holds some reflection of the Asian thinking style.
During the movie, Shifu goes to meet Ugway to deny the election of the dragaon warrior. Panda, Poe has been elected by Ugway. They were under the peach tree and Shifu was arguing how he can't train Poe, and how he was different and impossible to be the dragon warrior. However Ugway has tells Shifu, there's nothing like an accident, there's all ways a reason to be different. Ugway also quotes that we cannot change the destiney.
Shifu denies what Ugway says and argues that he can make what grows on the peach tree and when to eat the peach.
But Ugway covers up the peach seed in the ground and says:
"but when you grow a peach tree you'll get a peach tree not something else."
it was a great saying, but also something that stroke me a little about our education among us. I'm not talking about American or Korean education but more something close to modern education. How we teach the kids in the same way, test them with the same methods. Of course many is trying to change but still stays as not to understand the differences among the others.
If we are different and better in some other specific ways shouldn't we be educated to be special and different? shouldn't we be able to show the world what we are better of?
of course this may sound as an ideal thought of edcuation, but Vygotsky has been saying that the teachers may be capable of teaching the lower level students but it's really hard to teach the higher level students. In other words this can be seen as everyone deserves different type of education style. No one is the same why should we treat them the same?

이번 여름에 쿵푸팬더라는 영화가 개봉했다.
뭐 볼사람들은 대부분 보지 않았을까란 생각을 해본다.
성우진은 생각보다 초호화 캐스팅에, (잭블랙, 더스틴 호프만, 루시루, 성룡, 안젤리나 졸리) 웃기기도 하면서
동양사상을 나름 잘 반영한 애니라고 생각이 든다.
앤딩에 이현도가 프로듀싱하고 비가 부른 노래도 나오니 참 좋다는 생각도 들었다. 나중에 알아보니 아시아 지부에서만 비노래가 나오는 거지만..-ㅅ-;;;
쿵푸 팬더, 이 영화를 보면서 한가지 생각 나는 장면이 있다. 바로 시푸(쥐)가 포(팬더)의 용의용사를 거부하면서 대사부를 찾아갔을때...
그때 우그웨이 (대사부 거북이)는 이런말을 한다. 모든것을 우리가 조종하는것이 아니고 운명이 정해준다는 것...
그때 시푸는 복숭아 나무를 보고 이런말을 하죠.
"복숭아를 언제 먹을지 그리고 언제 나게 할지는 내가 정할수있다."
하지만 우그웨이는 이런말을 하죠
"그렇지만, 복숭아씨를 심으면 복숭아 나무가 나오지 거기서 팥나무나 다른 나무가 나오게 할수는 없다."
"그리고 그것을 잘기르고 그리고 잘되게 하는것도 직접할수는 잇다."
뭐 순서는 조금 틀리지 않았을까란 생각을 하네요. 기억력이 그닥 좋아지고 있는 편이 아니라서..ㅎㅎㅎ
하지만 여기서 생각할수 잇는것은 누구에게나 주어진 운명이 있는것이고 주위에서 어떻게 해주느냐에 따라서
더 번성할수도 있고 그리고 더 좋아질수도 있지 않을까란 생각을 해봅니다.
다시 말해서 교육의 입장에서 생각해볼수있을것 같다.
누구에게나 공부할수 있는 기회를 줄수있고 누구에게나 잘할수있는 기회가 있다.
하지만 같은 방식으로 모두를 시키면 그 방식이 맞는 사람만이 성공할것이고 그 한가지 방법만 맞는다고 생각합니다.
누구나 수준별 그리고 특징별로 맞는 교육을 주어진다면 더 좋은 영향을 받아서 잘 할수있지 않을까?
라는 생각을 해봅니다.
아주 이상적인 애기라고도 생각합니다. 학생수가 50명이 넘어가는 교실안에서 어떤 교육방법이 모든 학생을 다르게 가르칠수 있는 방법이 있을것이라고는 생각하지 않죠.. 하지만 비고스키는 이런말을 하더군요: "학생수가 많아서가 아니고 학생을 가르칠수있는 선생님의 역량이 가장 힘든것이라고... 하위권학생을 가르칠순있지만 상위권 학생을 가르치는것이 가장 어려운것이다.." 라고요... 50명이 넘는 교실수를 제어하는것은 오히려 선생의 어깨에 부담을 더 주는 것은 아닐까란 생각도 해봅니다. 하지만 역시 50명이든 100명이든, 모든 사람은 같은 방법으로 가르쳐서는 그 사람의 장점을 끌어내는것은 쉽지 않다라는 애기가 하고싶군요...+_+!!

참 어떻게보면 유치하기만 한 또 하나의 애니메이션에 불과하다고 지나쳐버릴 수도 있는데...
쿵푸팬더.. 이거 재미있기도 했지만 꽤나 많은 교훈들이 숨어 있더군요. 후훗
전 특히 그 용문서(맞나?)가 실은 아무것도 안 쓰여있는 백지라는 걸 발견했을때... 느낀게, 자신을 위대하게 만들 수 있는것은 그 어떤 것도 아닌, 종이에 비치는 자기 자신이라는 것.... 이런 생각이 들더라구요
뭐 숨은교훈도있고 사실 꽤나 재미있게본건데..-ㅅ-
용문서의 끝에 얼굴이 비쳐진것도있지만...
무엇보다도 믿음이 가장 강한 무기가 아니였을까라는..;;
